It’s hard to resist nature while in Utah, but I did so pretty successfully for much of the last three years. However, the mountains are calling to me this summer, and one of my current article projects pairs well with a trip to Bryce Canyon National Park. I’ll be head south later today to soak up the sun and some strange rock formations.
My team at the Deseret News does much of our work from desks, so it’s always a little shocking to find myself out in the world on an assignment. I have to practice approaching people without freaking them out and observing events closely enough to describe them well to others. Luckily, there’s an extroverted side of me that thrives under these conditions, while the introverted side waits patiently to return to my hotel room.
I can’t wait to share the fruits of my journey. Until then, have a great week!
