Carpool karaoke for priests

My iPhone is almost out of storage because I’m a photo hoarder. When I’m bored or sad or feeling sentimental, I flip through old pictures and smile.

The photo I’ve returned to most in recent weeks is from my September visit to Washington National Cathedral. I captured blue and purple light streaming in from the stained glass windows far above my head.

I love stained glass. My childhood church was covered in intricate, delicate designs. So it was a joy this week to research this type of art and to think about where stained glass has started to appear now that churches aren’t the center of public life.

I’m still suffering through the writing stage of this project, but I can’t wait to share it with you later this month. Until then, remember your favorite windows and smile.
